This time of the year always remind me of summer. I think the anticipation of summer always feels better than summer itself. Thinking of sunny, lazy days makes me happy; but once I go through the motion…those long hot days feels boring and taken for granted.

In other news…working at Inkling is pretty awesome. I love the people and the environment. There’s definitely a challenge and a sense of entitlement with the work you do. Everybody plays a big role in the team and at the end of the day, my contribution feels rewarding and satisfying. 

For some reason, I have this apprehension that I will be fired any day now. I’m learning a lot but it’s so hard to keep up with the people here. They talk and think at 200 mph while I’m struggling to even go at 50 mph. In time, I will be great like these people. The UC Davis alumni will prove his worth amongst all these Ivy League graduates… I hope.

We will do great things. I will do great things.

This will be my first official working summer, so let’s see how it goes. Wait…scratch that. Let’s hope I stay at this job until the summer. But regardless, I hope this summer will be good to me with time well spent with friends and family.
